cross over?
So where should i set the cross over onmy speakers?
I currently have them all set to 80 but i know my front speakers can go alot lower. how low should actually set the fronts. The specs say they can go down to 30 any suggestions. i am sure i could sit there and test it for myself but i figured i would ask and save myself the trouble. Anyway my gear should eb listed below.

80 is a good starting point. what's more important is getting them properly set with your receiver's tones or manually using a sound pressure level meter.
80, 60 or 40 would be ok too since you have large front speaker.. play around with it.. you may not notice much difference between them.. or you may hear alot of difference.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

Try it at 80 then 100 then 120, see what sounds better to you for the sub. I tend to over lap the speaker cross over with the sub. IE: 100 for sub then 80 for speakers. I find what sub crossover point is I like then then I adjust speaker crossovers.engtaz
I love how music can brighten up a bad day. -
Run the Ez EQ. See where the HK sets it. Then go from there.
The EZ Eq, works geat for room gain and nulls.
Reset the HK.
Run the automatic EZ EQ,
Do near field.
Then go back and lower the xover points if you find they are not low enough, and re/run the Ez Eq in manual mode.
I have the same HK, and this process worked great for me.
My mains and center can handle down to 40hz very well, so I set them 1 step up to 60hz, surrounds I have at 80hz and set my sub to 12" @ 80hz.
I have used the default and worked my system with a SPL meter, but for some reason, I prefer the speaker level and speaker distance settings the HK set. As for the crossover, I adjusted that myself and ran the set up in manual. Then adjust my sub alittle higher.
Worked out great for me..
