If it isn't Bose, it isn't home theater.

Only if he's allowed to speak his mind, and they don't have a Bose quota ;)

lol, it will kind of suck for Best buy when you direct all there customers to real audio locations :)

Actually, my first Denon receiver was because of a recommendation by a Best Buy employee. I was looking at Sony receivers and he pulled one out and explained the heat sinks/amps and stuff then told me to go look at the construction and layout of a Denon at Good Guys down the street. Needless to say I bought a Denon :)

Did they give you the speech yet about if you are hanging out in the front of the store with the other 4 or 5 workers who have nothing to do...to forcibly say to all entering customers " Hi , how are you doing today " ?

So this means I come by and you can give me a discount on the Salamander Designs furniture I have been drooling on that they have in the store?;) :D

I really wish it were Magnolia. That would be ideal. The nearest one isn't all that far away, but I decided to just apply at the nearest store for commute's sake.
I've pretty much worked in retail my whole life though, so it's going to be a walk in the park.
I'll probably just put all the paychecks into savings. I just want the discount! Maybe get some Martin Logans on the cheap? ;)

Oh and Ayotte... we'll see. :)

is there a grace period for the discount? like do you have to work there for 6 months before you are eligible? I could see people abusing that.

I think it's 1 month. I'm sure the discount is abused incessantly. I'll be pretty legit about it... I'm excited to be able to offer the discount to my immediate family for the holidays.

I'm guessing it's the one on the frontage road off 35W in Burnsville. They opened a new BB in Eagan a while back and I swear to god they have 5 times as many employees as they need. They stalk you as if they get points for how many times they ask you how you are doing or can I help you? That greeter at the door, shut the f'up.

Actually it's the one off Cedar and 42 in Apple Valley. The Burnsville store is actually further away for me.
And honestly, I don't have any intention of B.S.ing about Bose. Bose can suck my left nut. It sounds as though the other home theater employees are on the same page, thank God.

Grace period is 3 months for Future Shop (same deal for bb) in Canada anyways. If you make friends there I'm sure the other employees will let you buy things with their number if you're really that inclined to get your hands on a discount. Take a look at the company partner purchase programs. I got my lsi9's through it and a csi5 BNIB for a crazy deal.
