yea so i put my new stuff in today. mtxte1501, mtxte1004, and two polk sr 12dvc's. ok so now my sub amp shuts off after about 10 minutes of playing it. i beleve its going into protect because i do not have enough power going to it. im runing 0gauge all the way from the battery to the amp. i have a 2000 v6 accord. im thinking about repacing my red top under the hood for 2 kinetik batteries or just put one in the trunk and keep the red top under the hood. i realy dont want to replace my alternator. any suggestions would be helpfull.

to answer your questions no just the mtxte1501 and mtxte1004, i am runing the sr's at 1ohm. yea so today my amp just decided to not **** work anymore. it was working fine (shuting off every 5 to 10 minutes) untill about 5oclock then it decided when i turned my car on to suck the subs in and to blow my fuse in the dist. block. i checked sum stuff and its def. the amp im sending it back to mtx tomaro. and now it dosent even power on anymore. THIS SUCKS!!!! ilikesound what setup are you runing in your car?

1 as close to the battery as possible, run power through your car untill your cap or dist block, your cap and dist block act as a fuse, then your good.

300A fuse within 18" of your battery, then another fuse by the amp if the amp isnt fused. That fuse size can be determined by the recommended fuse size for the amplifer from the manufacturer.

    my setup is as follows:

front: Focal k2p component midrange, with polk MM6500 tweeters in a-pillar, bi-amped with polk c400.4
    rear: MM690 (not hooked up)
    sub: MM2084 8'' amped with Alpine mrp-m450 (220w rms)

    EQ: cadence peq-860
    Head: Alpine CDA-9857
    IPOD
14awg wires, jlaudio rca's and interconnects.
here's some photos. at the time i write this, the trunk has been re-done with some form of carpet that has glitter all over it. it looks really cool, like a star-field in the middle of space or something like that. just thought it would be unique. i have also added the cadence peq-860 which has three variable bands of eq under the head unit itself. the custom a-pillar picture can be found in this thread, it won't let me upload a previously uploaded pic for some godforsaken reason.
