Would definitely suck if someone cat bit into those things, hahahha
or
If the connector wore out, I'd be afraid they would break and leak all over my components.
This is assuming oil is actually injected in there.
Looks cool though- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
At least they are admitting it has snake oil in it.

If you had an efficient manner of keeping all the individual strands separated and not touching while one bends it around the back of the gear and/or to the speakers this makes sense electrically. Medium voltage and higher (greater than 69kV) underground transmission cables use oil to insulate the cable due to the high potential.
For speaker cables and IC's, I'm gonna go with mostly snake oil on this one.

I wonder if you have to change it after 3000 miles?

I can already hear the debate now...
"Yeah, I use Mobil-1 synthetic in my cables. Synthetic oil just sounds cleaner than natural oil. I use 0W20 in the winter, but then swap in 5W20 in the summer..."/COLOR] My Rigs [COLOR="Red" Balanced Audio Technology | Revel | Dodd | Monarchy | PS Audio | MIT | Polk | Etc. -
Maybe there will be a "green" version made from biofuel sources.
