Raising Componets.

I've revamped my display area, but my center channel is in the way when using the remote. I need to raise my pre amp and cd player about 3 or 4 inches from the shelf. I was wondering if anyone has done this to their gear.

I raised up a couple of my components using 3" pieces of heavy, card board tube. If you just use a saw and cut it into sections, it provides plenty of stability, plus lets air move pretty well.

Thanks Zingo. I actually made myself a couple of boxes wrapped with brushed aluminum. it keeps the gear high enough to clear the center channel. Maybe not the nicest fix, but it'll do for now.. Here's a pic. Looks like I need to putty a few holes.
