i currently own the vx37l and i love it. best bang for the buck tv and many others agree. visually appealing as well.

Lcd is probably the best way to go unless you want a large tv like 50 in and up. then plasma is your best bet. DLP is a no go usually because of the bulb needing replacement and the fan needed to cool it.

The new LED in Samsung is rated for 20,000 hours, 10 hours a day for 6 years. My father just bought the 61" w/LED, absolutly beautiful pic.

I would go with Samsung LED display where there is no bulb to replace or a Panasonic plasma which has an excellent review. Both rendered awesome picture quality.

Look on www.avsforum.com lots of info. I would look at warrenty info on these models. Westinghouse had a bad rap for warrenty work i.e. Panasonic will do repairs in your house if possible or remove it to there shop. I know some lower end brands require you to ship the tv back to them only in original box,if you happened to dispose of the original box they will sell you a replacement box. I will try to locate the thread for you.
