I never saw it, but with Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher at the helm, I tend to think it would take some sort of act of God to make it even tolerable.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Ashton Kutcher is a pretty good actor, for as much of a goof off **** as he comes off as on shows like Punk'd. They both nailed their roles in this movie and it was very enjoyable. It has somewhat of a cookie cutter story, but oddly enough the acting sets it above the rest.

...and the fact it's one on a very, very slim list of Coast Guard movies.

Decent movie. It has been done a million times before (basic premise anyway) but it was pretty well done. I thought it was worth purchasing (and did), but I would definately say it is worth a rental at least.

If you hate Kevin Costner or Ashton Kutcher this movie will not be enough to change your mind. If they don't bother you any more than anyone else you will never meet - you just may end up enjoying the flick.... :)

It's barely watchable, mediocre at best.....Kevin Costner has the typical old **** role with lady issues.

Scale of 1-10...I'd say 7. This thing isn't going to win any Academy Awards or anything...But good straight entertainment. Ocean scenes were pretty cool.
