Rotel RB-991 - How Much Would You Pay 2nd Hand?

Hi all,

Found a Rotel RB-991 2 x 200 watts amp on eBay Oz for $800 AUD (approximately $660 USD or $697 CAD). Is this too much for a unit in good condition?

The market down under is completely different, so we really can't tell you how much its worth. What other amps are available in that price range?

I was more looking at if you would consider this amp at $660 USD good value or not. Is that what they go for in the US - more or less?

Its probably only a $400-$500 amp here in the states. I do know that most folks down under will pay more for a given piece of gear due to the limited supply of used gear over there and the high cost of shipping from elsewhere. I had a fellow in New Zealand pay me dearly for an Oracle turntable. Shipping alone was nearly $200 for the turntable, but he was happy to get it.

Yep, we don't have the Audiogon's etc here, primarily eBay. Stuff like Rotel doesn't come up that often - and forget Sunfire, Parasound etc - rare as hens teeth. I'm going to purchase this one - it should bring my RTi10s to life (only powered by a Yammie 2700 140W) and when I get my LSi9s, it will power them nicely too.
