anybody know what happened to the dx line of speakers? I still wanted some dx6510's and I believe there were some tweeters in the dx line. Are they ever going to come back?

There was a day when, after the DX's were discontinued in favor of the momo, that I was mocked / knocked / and chided for continuing (insisiting) upon DX highs for my vehicles. I'm running 8 pair of DX highs in 3 vehicles, and I used to run 4 DX 12 subs in my truck until recently.

They left store shelves about oh 2 yrs ago? However, you can still get them off ebay -- BE SURE YOU DONT BUY USED SPEAKERS THO -- you don't want someon else's problems ya know?...

Far as the DX tweets... you can get a 3065 or 3055 DX component set (woof / tweet / xover) for about 170 - 200 bucks on ebay now a days... just be patient and hunt them down. If you just want the tweets alone - i suggest searching for dx3000 or db3000 -- as the db tweet is almost (if not) identical to the DX tweet.

If you want my 4 dx 12's you can have them dirt cheap (75 each). I've upgraded (substantially) -- two idmaxes come in the mail monday. Personally if you ever want to use DX subs, I HIGHLY reccomend them, but only the 10 inch. The 10 quicker response and lower mass make it a much more punchy / sQ worthy subwoofer-- i had two and was very very very very pleased with them... however my 12's just seemed to flap around aimlessly. Maybe it's just that 12's aren't as tight as 10's in any brand... maybe it's just that dx 12's aren't as good as dx 10's.. I don't know... but as long as you dont go throwing more than 320 watts on eitehr the 10 or the 12, they will sound very nice and enjoyable.

I almost wish polk would bring back the dx line -- as kim sits there speaking from the 8 ball -- because when the momo came up sure it sounds nice, does a good job, and i enjoy it, but not everyone wants to spend that much money on a sub... and god knows the GNX and GXR or whatever they are subs aren't worth the box they're shipped in. So you're stuckgetting "mega good" momo's at "mega high" prices or getting "entry level" gnx's... bring back the DX and i bet you polk would see a lot more "amateur" car audio people coming back to them -- 150 bucks a sub isn't bad for a nice 300 - 350 watt sq sounding dx ... people respect that.
