Thanks F1nut. NAD okayed strapping the negative terminals together to create a good common ground. Actually they said I could strap all 5 channels together, although I only wanted to connect the fronts this way. I will find out tomorrow if I can just do the front two. I have set it up strapping the 5 with spade terminals and bananas for the speakers. Stuffing two spade terminals into a binding post is a tight, clumsy fit and I don't want to leave it that way.

Thanks for your help. I will be writing more about this amp in the other thread, http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?134846-NAD-T-955-A-good-choice-for-SDAs

So, it really is a non-common ground amp.....interesting. Anyway, I'm glad you got it sorted out and can now enjoy your system.

Well, the manual describes the T955 this way:
The NAD T955 houses five individual amplifiers, each on separate
circuit board. Each amplifier channel acts as a ?mono block? within
the chassis. Each input connector, and set of loudspeaker output
terminals, is directly connected to that channel?s circuit board.
This design eliminates extra wiring and keeps signal paths short.
Furthermore, this modular design increases reliability and thermal
efficiency. The input circuit uses a totally new dual differential input
topology that operates in true Class-A mode. The special Holmgren?
toroidal transformer has less hum and magnetic leakage than
conventional toroidal transformers, but retains the usual benefits of
high efficiency and high power-to-weight ratio.
