has anyone ever had an issue with off-air hd programs "digitizing"? the program will lose sound for a couple seconds, and the picture will seem blocky, and freeze for a moment or two. i am using a terk off air hd antenna with a mitsubishi 50''.

When the picture pixelates and the sound breaks up it is the result of a weak signal or signal interference.

right, that makes sense, but how do i fix that? i've seen people use those antenna's with flawless performance but i've never been able to do it myself. perhaps it's the area i live in?

Are you using an indoor antenna or outdoor, roof mounted? If you already have outdoor, then a bigger/better antenna is needed, or a pre-amp maybe. If your using an indoor, then no doubt, you need something outdoor mounted.
For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

Good advice from billbillw. We have a roofmount antenna (left over from our pre-cable days) and I'm glad I never crawled up on the roof to take it down. The whole township lost cable the other day during a bad storm, phone and roadrunner too. With the rotor on the antenna mast I was able to pull in local HD channels very clear.

watch when you put an outdoor antena on. your setting yourself up for lighting stikes. i think there are devices that can protect you against that
