WOW! I have been slowly upgrading my speakers and the most recent upgrade was the FXi3; INCREDIBLE SOUND! Any way, remember I am somewhat new to this and was just looking for advice on where to place my Polk 404 sub? Right now my room is not your ideal HT.. So my sub now is next to the TV... I read something about magnetic shielding and NEVER place a sub so close to a tv... I am somewhat limited by space and the only other option I have is in the corner of the room... probably w/in 6 feet of my front speakers. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!!

(Obviously I placed this post in the wrong area; my aplogies... how in the world do I delete it and move it to the right area)?

The 404 has a shielded magnet. Placement close to your TV should not be a problem.

Best way to find sub placement is this....

Put the sub in your normal seating location.

Put on some bass heavy music.

Crawl around on the floor listening for the bass to sound nice tight and deep.

Trade places with the sub, ask your wife to stop laughing at you, and you are done.
