Ordered new system consisting of RTi-12 fronts, CSi-5 center, FXi5 surrounds and psw505 sub. I see frequent recemmendations for high current amplifiers to really bring out the best in speakers.

On audiogon is an Adcom GFA-5503 200wx3 amp.

Appreciate input if it would be a good idea to use this to power the fronts and center speaker and just use my yamaha rx-v661 (90watts/channel) to power the surrounds.

Thanks
MWL

I'm running Outlaws. Pick up 3 Outlaw 2200 monoblocks (probably about $950). Later you can just add 2 more at a time untill you have 7. 200W each. If you ever upgrade, you can move those things anywhere.
