Why are you selling so soon after purchase? Just curious.

    Thanks

Why wouldn't you return it to the store you bought it from if you're only a week out from the purchase date? I'm confused...........

I realize that a lot of people like the SVS subs but give your 650 a chance!

Before getting rid of it make sure that that you have tried placing it in multiple locations to improve the sound. A real simple way to locate the best position for your sub is to place it in your sweet spot and then walk around the rooom until you get the best sound. That'a where you want to place the sub! Try it, You might be amazed at how well the 650 can perfrom.

Is there any reason why you don't want to retutrn it to the store that you got it from? Most places are really good about taking the equipment back these days, CC even promotes their return policy in their latest ads.

Lastly, before you order that new SVS, make sure it's what you really want! If possible audition some others in your home with your gear and your music. I'm using a Sunfire MK II that Rocks the house, and it's only about 12" square!!

    Frank:

I can't be positive, but I'm fairly certain that "Subwoofer X" in the second part of this review is a Sunfire model. Is the MSRP for a Sunfire MKII abot $1,000?

In the interest of fairness, does anyone have confirmed instrumented testing of Sunfire models?

I'd be interested to see how the two methods of getting big deep bass - a huge properly tuned enclosure, or a tiny enclosure with tons of amp and a huge eq curve - really stack up.

Same room, same location: SPL vs. THD, vs. Freq.

The MkII (now a MKIV) has a list price of $1250.00

Don't get me wrong here guys I don't have anything against the SVS subs, oyher than the fact that it looks Effn Ugly. Hey looks have gotta count for something right?!?

My point is that tpeter may be able to improve the sound of his sub by simply relocating it, and although the SVS sub is a good unit, there are other subs out there that offer superb performance, are easier on the eye, and take up less floor space.

Agreed - good points all - wasn't getting on your case about Sunfire at all - and SV subs ARE conspicuous - and there are MANY great subs out there. One thing I'll never do is say "Brand X" stuff is THE best - I haven't heard enough of anything to make that claim. Anyway - it's all a moot point, tpeter ordered his sub a few days ago...........
