Anybody seen that Radioshack commercial where a girl leaves her boyfriend to clean the apartment, which is overflowing with stereo gear and vinyl, and he downloads everything onto a little ipod/ideck?
Makes me cringe every time I see it. Arggghh. No complaints about the girlfriend, however.

The Audio Society should do a parody of this, his audio collection shrinks, along with his family jewels, not only for downsizing his gear, but because his girlfriend told him to.
That is why I go the Al Bundy route, get a man cave with a large NO MAAM sign on the door.

all that needs to happen is the downloads are done in a high rez format, the masses create the buzz for the new formats and the folks who care about things in the audio world refine it, of course at a price.
Vinyl is Cool. SACD is Phat. Compression just sucks and that my friend is that.
