Front Speakers suggestions for a 7.1 Setup wanted

Ok I currently have a H/K 635 powering a pair of Polk R300 (fronts for now), pair of Polk R150, and a Polk CSR plus I have a JVC sub (that's good enough to me right now). What I'm interested in is a good pair of speakers that'll outperform the R300s and I'll push the R300s to rear channel duties. I don't mind if the front speakers are bookshelf or floorstanding speakers but I have budget of around $250 max.

I've been interested in the Polk Rti6 from jr.com for $250. Will these be an improvement over the Polk R300 or should I just get another set of Polk R150?

Just an after thought but are the Rti6's a good timber match for my current speakers?

I was in the same boat recently, and went with R50s for fronts. Definitely more sound and "fuller" than the R300s. I have the CSR center and R150s for surrounds. All match perfectly.

If/when I go to 7.1, I'll either add a pair of R300s (sides), or another pair of R150s (most likely -- great little speakers!).

The R50s are on sale at Fry's right now for $70 each, and again, will match everything you already have perfectly!
