Buzzing sound...I'd stay away from these; not easy/cheap to fix those ribbons.

could be as simple as tightening the ribbons....or even moisture can produce the buzzing, but you won't know until you get to it; I wouldn't bet on it.

Ricardo is right about the ribbons. It COULD be buzzing that is easily fixed with a hair dryer or tightening of the ribbons, and maybe not. Roll of the dice this one.

I would imagine if it was a simple fix,the owner would have done it.By him being upfront on the buzzing, tells me he allready researched the fix and deemed it too costly, hence the sale.Stay away, very risky, unless you can get them for next to squat.

This set of speakers has already been discussed on the CF. They have been up for auction twice now with no bids. Does that tell you anything? Look closely at pic #4. Do you see something that is 3-D covering where the ribbons should be? Whatever it is, is creating a shadow. NOT normal. Woofers are re-foamed, by whom? Good question. That leaves the crossover and the frame to be in good working order. [from what we can see]

These would be good for the crap shoot, or good for someone who has the dough to properly rebuild. (750+ est. dollars + purchase and P/U)

If they are sitting in his garage...my money is on the humidity.

I would certainly think that could be the culprit. Some moisture and they buzz like the do bee dance, I keep a dehumidifier on in the Shed.
