I'm in the process of buying a 2002 Mercedes CLK-55 AMG
I was told it would be difficult but not impossible to put an aftermarket system in it. Seems like the system is fiber optics and need to be taken out and a whole new wiring installed? Anyone have experience in this or can recommend a shop in the Los Angeles County area. Preferably Long Beach? The system in the car is ok. Navigation/Bose etc.. etc.. but I want to put the polk SR speaker system all the way around and one SR-12 Subwooder. Btw its a convertible so I need to know how that would affect the room in the trunk for the sub system.

Thanks for the help and recommendation

This car obviously would need a lot of custom fabrication and work to get the system in. Their is no dash kit made so right off the bad you need something custom there. You wanna go to a high end shop that works on these cars. I had bad experiences in the past with crappy shops.
