Fxi3 Placement Question... From A Newbie

Hey guys,

Recently purchased a pair of XI3's to replace some very dated POS rear  speakers! Any way, had a question about placement... My options are these:

1) Mount them in the corners of my viewing room; somewhat at an angle. OR

2) Directly behind my viewing couch more straight or pointing directly @ my gear?

From a decor stanpoint directly behind is more appealing; but I want to maximize the sound these speakers produce so I wonder if the corner mount isn't better.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Stay away from the corners. For a 5.1 system, they should be mounted to the sides of your listening position or on the back wall facing the back of your head. Your room and speaker combination will determine which one is best for your situation.

If the sides are not available to you, looks like the back wall. (approx 3' above your seated position)

There are many good online guides, this one is supposed to be the

If nothing else it's some interesting reading
