new RTi series
so now that i just bought the RTi10's a month ago, is it going to cause problems within the system if i finish it out with the newer RTiA series instead? they should still be pretty timber-matched, but would it be some sort of audio faux pas? how about the sound -- would it still sound okay?
My 2 ch. rig
RTi10 Cherry (bi-wire)
HK AVR 445
Xbox 360 w/ HD-DVD attachment
Not too bad for a dorm room I think?

Or you could wait for the current RTi line to go on close out and complete the set!
To answer your question, it depends how much it would bother you and not anyone else's opinion. There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin -
check on JR and onecall good deals to be had on some of the rti line speakers.

Complete your system with either the old or the new Rti line- totally your preference. It will not cause problems and it will sound awesome either way. Don't sweat it. Heck I have Rti10 fronts with Monitor 30 surrounds and it works great.

I noticed on the NEW RTI 08 spec sheet that the binding posts are no longer specified as "GOLD PLATED"
Now, I am not a guido or anything, but is that an omission or a slight downgrade in connections?

It's not an omission or a downgrade in connections. Next to last line.
