I just got the components and 6x9's installed and wow do they sound good :)
I have them running to the kicker zx350.4 amp. Only thing that bothers me is the bass isnt very good. That's not going to be a problem in a couple days because I am going to get my 12" CVX installed. But for now I would still like some bass out of the speakers. And also I ran new speaker wire from the hu to the amp in the trunk, but just used the factory wire from the components to the hu. Should I upgrade the factory wiring, and will it really make that big of a difference in sound quality and performance? Thanks guys :)

Let them break in for a bit, then give the midbass some scrutiny. Every Polk speaker I've purchased sounded better after some break-in time ;).

Report back on how it goes.

they are mid range woofers, u wont get deep bass from them, most people with components have subs.
As far as wiring goes, heres how i see it, and this is how it was explained to me, this goes pretty much for any A/V equipment.
U spend 300 bucks on item A, which in your case is a speaker, U spend 500 bucks on item B, which in your case is an amp, Item C (your wires) brings those items together, why cut yourself short in between 2 high quality items.

Give the speakers suspension a little time to break in, as Greg has said, and you will notice a little more low end from them.

It depends on how far the wire is running. Unless youre running 150 watts per channel a foot or 2 of factory wiring isnt going to make a difference. But if its about 5 foot like it would be from the hu to the speakers, that might build up enough resistance to make a difference. It wont be the end of the world if you leave it like this but if youre wanting the best out of your system then replace the OEM crap with proper size wire.
