I noticed on the new 08 spec there is no mention of gold plated binding posts, whereas on the Rti12 that is specified on the spec sheet.

    Documentation omission or downgrade?

    on in-shower tile speakers,

I saw an add/ mini article in HT mag. Intersting to say the least.

It would follow that Polk would use the same curvilinear cabinet when they update the LSi-series. My 9's are jealous of the new curves. I never thought I'd have RTi envy.

Seems like Circuit City phased out the RTi line in their stores. They don't even list them online. One less reason (among a dozen others) not to shop at CC ...
    - Sony 50"A3000 SXRD; Onkyo TX-SR 805
    - Polk RTi150 mains; CSi30 center; FXi3 surrounds, R15 backs
    - Velodyne CHT-12 subwoofer

They dumped the RTi's several years ago. I got the local CC's last
RTi10 demo room speakers at 50% off. I also got 6's and 4's.
They have not had any speakers worth crap in some time.
Unless they have a Magnolia shop, BB doesn't have anything worth owning either.
Fry's is the only mass market spot with anything a step up in the Polk line.

My first speakers were a pair of Polk Rti100's open box at Circuiy City for like $300.00 just before they stopped carrying them.

Yeah ... and there isn't even a Fry's anywhere near me (an hour+ drive at least, maybe 1.5)

I picked up the RTi150s at CC a few years ago for $255 ea. :)

CompUSA... of all places.. carries some Klipch, Velodyne, and "Athena"(?) speakers.

Somewhere I can't remember, maybe it was BB, was carrying the Warfdale Diamond series, I was about to buy a pair of those (for $700-800) when I found the Polks for such a steal.

CC doesn’t carry much of anything worth a damn period now. They actually never did. Pretty much carry the rock bottom of the rock bottom or everything. I did notice that they do have the Onkyo 805 which is the only shinning audio item they got. BB may be one tinny step better but not much. Hell, in the last week they even dumped a lot more Audio stuff. Pretty much down to HT in a box.

If the new RTis are not as hot and bright, I would like them much more than the current ones.

Crossing my fingers on that one... LSi is great, but not always affordable, or reasonable. An awsome midfi speaker from polk would be killer.

Polk has a line for all income levels, always has, always will.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
