$25 - $40 SVS 12.1 or 12.2

Just a shot in the dark guys and gals.

I need to replace my DVC Dayton 12". My Rythmik amp is killing this driver.

Or if you all know of a good 12" driver that will have more or equal to, excursion and would wrok good with w very robusk Rythmik amp, in a 3.0 cuft ported enclosure, tuned to 25hz.

Thanks

Not really DB..I bought one back around Feb or March for $60 shipped. It was a 12.1 plus. From a friend at the HomeTheaterSPOt.

So I figured if it cost 20 or so dollars to ship then $25 - $40 for the driver would be fair.

You never know, someone might have one laying around they want to get out of their way. And make a few dollars doing it.

CP is the place for great deals remember..;) :)

Thats a 12.2 a year ago. How much would you pay for it now being used a year older? And what about if it were a 12.1 another year older?

I saw this and I have two 12.2's hanging around but I'd need around $100 shipped each to part with them. You are way too low, but then you could get lucky!

Are the 12.2 the replacement drivers SVS upgraded their Plus and Ultra subs to? What's the difference? I think my PB12/Plus 2 has two of them....

This is my train of thought.

    The 12.3 sell for $169.

You just asked $100 shipped for 12.2 That means for just the driver is btween $70-$80.

    $60 - $70 shipped for a 12.1 is too cheap?

If I cant get a 12.2 in my price range , so be it. The 12.1 will do just fine.

The $169 price tag is for existing customers who own an SVS, and wish to upgrade.

Good luck trying to find someone giving away their sub.

Gen 1 plus drivers were the 12.1. Gen 2, 12.2 and the newest 12.3 drivers.

Most of the sellers I have ran across are the ones who have upgraded (very few resell a second owned SVS). So wether or not SVS only offers the 12.3 to existing customers, is besides the point. Becides, if a seller is not a previous customer of SVS, then driver is worth even LESS, because he/she would be the 2nd owner and the buyer would be the third owner.

Are you saying , if someone is selling a 12.2 for $100 shipped, then a 12.1 should go for the same price?

Of corse your not saying that.

If some one is selling a 12.2 for $100 shipped (which comes out to around $70-$80 for the driver unshipped), then how much is a 12.1 (which is an older, less powerfull, less ecursion, that ifno comes directly from TomV @ SVS, and probably has been used more because it is older) , worth?

Not at all. I was just pointing out that the price you quoted is for existing customers, not the general public.

Yes, but I am not looking to buy a 12.3.

Let me ask, you professional "bluebook" sub resellers.:p

How much should a 12.1 sell for? Not even looking at the fact that its close to 3 years old and might be a 2nd or 3rd owner.

And Mike , I dont want to be ugly here, but next time you quote me, please quote my whole messege , not part.

If you would have read the first part, you would have seen there was no reason to point out (like I'm an idiot) the fact that SVS only offers the 12.3 ugrade to existing customers.

I have done my homework for over a year on SVS subs before I bought my first 12.1 sub, 6-8 months ago.

THe 12.3 $169 price doesn't include shipping IIRC.
