NOISE in my truck

I didn't know how else to write the title of this but I have a question about the bass SQ in my truck. I am for the most part EXTREMELY happy with my set up. However, there are certain songs that when the bass line picks up (bass guitars) I get a humming noise. One such song is "She sells Sanctuary" by the Cult. How do I tune my bass down to get the offending frequency (noise) to stop? Is there something that I can buy at radio shack or somewhere else that I can use to identify the frequency that is causing this? How do I go about using it ?
Thanks.
Thanks.

You might have things resonating at particular frequencies. Grab a CD with a bass sweep on it and use it to isolate the offending objects.

Thuggy has a good suggestion. You may have resonating panels. Check your gains as well, you may have them cranked too high. Shouldnt be any higher than the noon position.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

Thanks for the replies. So this disc will play the different lower freq, and tell you which freq. it is playing? Then, once I hear the noise I go into myPEQ and lower that freq? Is that all there is to it? I've checked my gains and they were set right.Alpine 9855 hu
