rti100 vs rt800
I have a difficult decision.
I have the opportunity to buy either Polk RTi100 speakers for $220 or Polk RT800 speakers with the center CS245 for $250.
I've been reading and searching this forum and other websites on and off for about a day and cannot decide. Seems totally preferential in terms of those who like the Polk RT series and the older RTi series.
I am well aware of the specifications and the differences in the drivers (RTi100 is a powered speakers with 1 dedicated 6.5 driver for bass while the RT800 is unpowered). The RT series also uses a tri-lamanate driver whereas the RTi uses silk polymer.
I am unaware of the differences in the crossover and any other quality aspects.
Any advice?
