LSi15 price drop

Hi - I just purchased a pair of LSi15's for $1000 from authorized dealer here in NYC. Is this a good deal and does anyone know why the price dropped on the 15's? I have a Denon 3805 and Denon 2910 to drive my new Lsi15's

    Great deal. Use the saved cash to buy a real amp. Trust me. Try McCormack or PS Audio.

    I concur with squal, use that cash to get a good (maybe used?) quality 2 channel amp and REALLY here what those things will do.

    I like mine on the Carver amps, but many used to choose from.

    parasound, Rotel, Hafler,

    Nice buy. I agree with the amp though. A nice 2 channel amp and those speakers will really shine.

    I see on the JandR website they don't list the LSi15s now. But they list the LSi9s as "special savings as of 8/8/07"

    I don't think the web site is up to date. I work across the street from J&R and was in the store yesterday and the sale rep said the Lsi9's price didn't drop only Lsi15, 7 and 25 did. But for sure in the store the sign on them said$499 each.
