I just bought a perfect pair of SDA2's on ebay and the shipper dropped one of the speakers. I found the tweeter magnets laying on the bottom of the speaker cabinet. Hope this doesn't happen to someone else who has speakers delivered. If possible, ask the seller to remove the tweeters and ship them separately. It will be worth the extra cost of shipping. DHL SUCKS!!!!!

Shipping SDA's is what sucks. I absolutely would never take a chance of shipping them....personally. I have watched them for the last year on Ebay and Craigslist in my area and ONLY bought the ones that came up fairly local (200 miles or less).

Sorry to hear about your damaged goods. I'm honestly surprised the woofer magnets didn't come off during shipping. It could've happened with any carrier...not only DHL.

If that is the worse thing that happened, then you are lucky.

Been there done that. They also broke a crossover, and the magnets shifted on the woofers so they seem frozen.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

avguytx - 200 miles... broaden your horizons

I just drove Raleigh to Atlanta and back yesterday (13 hours round trip - 825 miles) to pick up some ebayed SDA-2A's. They were the black ones with the blade interconnect cable. He wanted to demo them for me when I got there. Didn't have the heart to tell him he had the R and L wired backwards, but he did have the interconnect in place.

Michael - My very fear and motivation for driving so far was shipping mishaps. So sorry for your damage.

    Speakers - $285 - Gasoline $80 - the sound of Polk SDA's - priceless

Still have to get some 2.3tl's or 1.2tl's.

Oh, I would go farther depending on the price and condition. So far, I haven't had to so it's all good. SDA 1C's ($400 from original owner) and SRS2's ($200 from 2nd owner) and both within 45 minutes one way. Gas was less than $15 if that. Now, I'd drive 1000 miles round trip for some 1.2's or SRS's maybe...but not for anything less. They'll eventually come up where I'm at...I'm patient.
