the db components were nicknamed the "casket basket" because they basket is made of a non resonant material(s)... they are actually probably teh nicest components polk has ever produced, and I myself would cut off my right arm for a pair of db 6.5 inch comps... They took a hair more power (due to lowered sensitivity but this is ok in a SQ setup with high power) than the dx comps do, and they have a way of maintaining integrity at volumes that just make your ears tingle.

I'm running dx comps, and I'll tell ya... even though the rest of my car is getting an upgrade... those are staying... polk makes some of the nicest highs you'll ever find anywhere.

If you do a door installation - i do highly suggest one of two things... 1- either dynamat the living crap out of your door, seal over any open apsaces to its just about sealed... and then set your speakers to a high pass of 80 hertz (6 db roll off although not sharp gives u a nice mellow note curve, but u may want 12 or 24)

If you don't dynamat the door, you'd better go with what kim said about 90 hertz, or even a hundred... I noticed that doors i've done without dynamat often take a 100 hertz high pass filter to keep them from rattling / overexcurting... i dont know the exact explanation for it, but its life.
