Just a fwiw
I have PBJ's, and Straight wire Encore II's sitting in a drawer. I just gave away some other Straight wire IC's. I have replaced all my IC's with Silver. The silver wire PBJ braid style kicks butt.
I have also been working on some silver speaker wire building lately. I have come to the conclusion I want to build 2 different designs. One includes using 2 14ga silver plated connectors, and the other would use 4 16ga silver plated wires in a star quad configuration like the Canare S411's, and the Audio Quest Type 4's. The later could be used as a regular speaker wire, or be setup for a Bi-Wire setup.Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. Well I have just received the Nuetrik black XLR's with gold plated contacts. I liked gold over the standard connectors, and the nickle looks ghetto compared to black. I will post picks when done.Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Sorry for going OT Ben. Next time I need a a pair of I/C, I have you in mind."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche -
Well I had a couple request for shielded cables. These use Teflon like the rest, but have 4 conductors, and boots on either end. The wire is stranded 24ga silver plated.
I am using 3.5mm plug for computer to receiver on these;)
See post 1 for a larger pic.

Checked out your website. I'm interested in some of those RCA's

Well I did a set of XLR's for a guy with the new Neutrik connectors, and they look much better. They are black with gold contacts. I'm much happier than the nickel bodied XLR's I had before.

The new Neutrik RCA's
The ones I was using previously didn't have that great of a grip. I switched to these, they grab much better, and I like the spring strain relief.

Well I had a Polkie who wanted something with a more traditional shield, still silver, and Teflon. I made a Silver star quad configuration with a silver plated full braid shield. Well here they are.

Well farting around with cables again. I have had request for 3.5mm to RCA. I was using an adapter before to convert to 3.5mm. Now I have my 3.5 plugs in. Some have wanted them for MP3 players to the inputs on the font of there Pre's, or receivers. I am using a couple pairs for my computer. My puter allows me to assign the jacks for what ever purpose I need. I have my SACD changer, and my CD changer hooked up to my puter for now. I just select which input I want to use, and I am in business:)

Tell us more about the quad configuration, braid and the teflon. This stuff is interesting.

The Star Quad is a more traditional shielding. Built similarly to the Encore II's except I use 2 24ga wires instead of 4 24ga wires. I use 2 for the signal, and 2 for the ground like the AQ star Quad speaker cables. I did try both combinations, and found that the Straight wire setup had way too much capacitance, and veiled the highs. And again I also use Silver wire with Teflon for their conductors.

The Braid uses a third wire as the shield. You can read up on it here.

If RF is not a major issue the braid is a better option.Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Well I am making a change to my braided wires. I am now going to be sheathing these to improve durability. If you have the non sheathed ones, and want them redone let me know. There is a bigger pic on the first page. The sheathing is darker than my camera shows. The color is carbon. Kinda a dark gray.

These are stellar cables and are especially good as turntable connector ICs.
I have them between my step-up and transformer and my phono pre. They did take over 220 hours to burnin. I had a hum problem that these cable completely got rid of. But without burnin they were very harsh and thin in the bass intermitently. After burning them in by using them on the output (2.3 v) of a CD player for the 220 hours they took on a very detailed clarity that I found very surprising. The bass response is extened and tight. -

The ones I sent Joe recently are the Star Quads that take a long time to burn in. The sheathed ones are the braided, and take no time at all to burn in.Please. The braided ICs took around 30 hours to start struting their stuff but after 50 they really shined. I love these braided cables but you can't use them in a turntable chain in that they aren't shielded and will pick up or make any hum worse. Although I haven't tried them from the stepup transformer to the phono pre. They may work very well in that config. -

Ben, please give me a quote on 4 6 footers just like these puppies. PM me back if you wish. TXS.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -

I'm not doing the braided in 6 foot lengths anymore. I am running out of the pure silver wire. I have however the star-quad type like up above that I can do in 6 foot lengths. I held off selling them till I had a couple sets out for comparison. The star-quad sound very nice, but take a long time to burn-in. BTW I can sheath these too. The sheathing really looks very nice.

I'm surprised you are using the 2nd ground as an electrostatic shield, I remember Kimber hooking up the 2 ground cables on both ends back in the day, they may have changed since them...
I braided literally 100s of feet of wire back in the mid 90's copying the Kimber designs. I think it is a solid well thought out design for small signal wiring.
I wonder what it would sound like if you ran just a pair of that nice looking wire and than ran a full electrostatic shield over them? Just some braided sleeving maybe?
Anyway, good looking product!www.forceaudio.com .... We cut through the BS. -

I think they would be about the same sounding. The only complaints I have had about hum (interference was TT's), and yes they did change the design.Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Ben,
Can you give me an update on the status of the ICs I ordered
and made payment for on 11-13-10? As of todays mail delivery
I have not received them. I not trying to hurry you...just want
to make sure someone is here to bring them inside due to the
bad weather this time of year.
Can you send me the shipper's tracking number when they are sent?
