I just bought the 6500 for the front and the 690 for the rear deck, and i'm going to have them hooked up to the Kicker 350.4 amp. I'm not gonna do the install myself. But I was wondering where I should have the tweeters and crossovers placed for my 6500's. I have a 2002 Mitsubishi Galant. Any ideas?

The way I have done it in the past was to play around with the tweeter location to see which spot gave me the best sound. You can do this by having someone else helping you with the other tweeter, or by using some tape. With my current vehicle, the car came equipped with tweeters in the A-pillars. I wanted to stick with a stealth install, so I used the OEM mounting location.

The crossovers you can stick where ever you can find the room. My current crossovers are so big, I had to mount them in my trunk behind the finishing meterial/carpet. Your x-overs should be easier to deal with.

If I got them installed in the A pillar, would that work and would it sound decent?

i have mine in the apillars and they sound good. if i were to do it again, however, id put them right near the place where the door and the interior dash meet. i think they're just a tad* bright in their current locales. but nonetheless, people say its the clearest system they've ever heard, so imma go with that.

I think the A pillar usually works best. Using the sail panels always seem to make them way to easy to locate.

Best to try some test postitions and see which ones sound best to you.
