It doesn't take much to make a sub "pound"
Your profile amp probably provides better control, speed, etc. and overall better sound quality. -
Im not sure I understand what youre talking about.
What is a 5 unit speaker unit?
What is a 4 ohm 1000 watts Profile 300 RMS?
Are you running a Momo sub in your home?polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

yea its like a big box with 2 tweeters a horn and a mid and then the sub. i took the normal sub out and put my momo in it. the 120@8ohms go into a splitter than into 5 speakers
my profile amp is powering my subwoofer in the car at about 310 rms. -
could be many things wrong. Could be the box in your car is built for a flatter frequency response, and the box in the house is smaller than optimal giving you up a 4db gain around a certain frequency, and if you have it in a corner you could get up to another 3db gain, The amp that you are using in the house could be putting out an additional 10-60? more watts into 4ohms, but this is all in theory. if you do the math it could be louder in your house than in your car. You also have to look at the car, because of placement you could have cancellation from back waves, and/or compression( subs pressurize the cabin and have to fight themselves to make sound ). hey but what do I know, I'm just a dumb kid.

It also depends on where your sub is mounted in your car. Put it up to the front of the trunk firing into the cabin and youll get a lot of cancellation.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005
