This is probably a bad idea, but...

I have an amp that I really have no need for at this time (4 channel, with 2 bridgeable something like 60x4 or 60x2 + 120x1). On the bridge channel it has crossover settings. My main thought was that this amp could be useful in a sub/satellite set-up with a passive sub. Since I am just about done remodeling my house, I will have some handyman time, so I thought about doing a DIY sub. Did some reading.
Then I wondered about a whole 3 piece DIY set-up. I see many links for help with DIY subs, but has anyone built a pair of bookshelf speakers? I am sure I can buy some that would sound better for the time and materials involved, but I was just thinking it might be something fun to tinker with.
