I was going to stick this in the Audio Deal of the Day but it really doesn't belong. I didn't catch this one until last night. Picked one up today and love it.
Best Buy is selling the the Acer 22" wide screen LCD monitor for $189.99 ($206 after tax). It's not the fastest at 5ms nor the ultra sharpest at 800:1 contrast ratio but it works great although I haven't played a movie yet. A bit bright but that's adjustable. Stand sux in terms of adjustability but it works for me. Others may need to place it on something to get the right height.
They went fast. Sold out online. Locations near high middle class neighborhoods are sold out too (DFW). I picked mine up at a store I believed to be computer challenged and yep, they had 8 in stock.

Good luck!

I have the AL2216W, which is the older Acer 22" and I couldn't be happier. I bought mine 9 months ago for $259 and I thought I stole it!

Hello people, LCD Monitor Flickers when trying to play a video? I have a LCD Monitor that flickers and the looses the signal when I try to play a video. I have a NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500. This problem started a few days ago and I don't know how to fix it. I tried updating my video card drivers, updating my monitor drivers. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.I need a lcd monitor

It must be your drivers or your card. An LCD monitor should not flicker at anytime. Have you tried doing a help search online with your specific model?

I have the same one. I wouldn't say I "couldn't be happier" - the lack of adjustment on the stand is enraging, and I have it sitting on a camera box to get it to the right height. Color and brightness adjustment are touchy and temperamental, though once you get it set this is no longer an issue. It also came with a single dead pixel (stuck red), but that happens. It's also VERY slow to turn on compared to my other monitor (a Dell).
For the price (I paid $229 in March of this year) I'd definitely say that it was a good deal, but I don't know that I'd buy a similar product again. If you will it, dude, it is no dream.
