Center speaker help needed
Hi everyone!
I am new to the site but have been reading/researching for the past few weeks (wish I had found this site a little sooner) and have found trying to find the right setup is sometimes overwhelming but like crack(not that I would know:p )!
So anyway, I have a limited budget as I just purchased a plasma but have to get surround sound setup before football season! I have the following so far:
Polk audio RC80i speakers in ceiling x 4
Polk PSW505 sub
Onkyo TX-SR605 receiver
I have a pretty large room since the den/dining/kitchen are all open to one another with 10 foot ceilings. The dedicated den space is about 20x15x10 but again, it's open.
So, when it comes to the center, will the Polk csi3 be enough? Will this go well with the rc80i speakers I have? Is there another 'price friendly' option out there that would suit me better?
Any advice is much appreciated and thanks in advance!

Hey, and welcome to the forum.
I would say that the csi3 is a really good option. But imho you should go with the csi5. It is the bigger version of the csi3 and would work well with that open room.
See this thread on my recommendation to a guy with the same question:

Thank you for your response. Please excuse my ignorance, but will the csi5 go well sound wise with the speakers I have? I have read some other threads that mention timbre??

Wilton, the product page specs matching RC to Monitor line, which would mean CS1 or CS2 (CS2 being the larger one), or another matching in-wall if that's what you are doing.
Email to Polk's Customer Service polkcs@polkaudio.com; they might have a recommendation, too.

Thank you Val, I missed that on the product page.
