    This actually works, BTW.

Now all I gotta do is create a device that will temporarily place your ears in this position and I'll be rich. Hmmm. An acoustically dampened duct tape, maybe?

Early, your too late!! Joe already has you beat to the drawing board. I've seen his device & he claims it works like a charm. Not the prettiest device...but as long as it works. Hopefully he'll be chiming in here soon.

Be careful with taking credit for this idea, you'll have the lawyers from Machina Dynamica after you in no time.

Thuggy it really does work! I have fashion an ear cup from "yourmusic.com" statments which are a rather heavy stock with a thick rubber band and I fit it on my impaired ear.

It reall does increase more than resolution for me!
