How long will the lamps die out? And can I pick up a replacement lamp at my local best buy store or circuit city, or do I have to go to their official website and buy it from them?

I don’t know much more but I think life depends on how much TV you watch per day and also it depend on lamp quality. I bought a Philips original projection lamp 2 years ago from a website called www.discount-merchant.com. Its really amazing work and believe me I have no problem yet. So I would recommend for Philips original lamps. Thanks!

I have a Sony KDS-R60XBR2 and the estimated life of the lamp was 4000-5000 hours. One replacement lamp came with the TV so I'm supposedly good for 8000-10,000 hours. Not sure where to buy new ones but I would think there are internet sites with good prices.

You and Kelsy have a lot in common 4 posts and he gave you 4 responses to the same website. You have 4 post about lamps. My advice buy a plasma and stop the spam.
