I'm wondering if it might be a good idea to run a seperate 20 amp circuit to power my 7 channel cinenova. The socket im plugging into is a 20 amp socket and I'm not sure if it can take the AVR, cinenova, xbox360 and TV without popping the breaker. I guess I could give it a try and see what happens but was wondering about your experiences with the amp.

I do not own this particular amp but I have used multiple powerful amps on one shared 15 amp circuit. Most of the time, your gear will draw very little power from the wall, it is only at loud passages that a draw can be difficult. A sperate 20 amp line will provide the best option though.
With all my gear running and the TV (36" CRT), my power conditioner showed that no more than 4 amps were ever being used at once. At start up, my tv can pull 12 amps for a few seconds, then drops to 1-1.3 during use.

I doubt you will pop the breaker if those are the only items on that breaker. Question is, what else do you have on it? Lights, sockets or dimmer switches may not advisable since it could introduce noise into your setup. If you have the means, run a dedicated line to it.

I ran two dedicated 20 amp circuits; one line using 10/3 and the other line using 12/3. I have my Cinenova and my Denon 4306 hooked up on one line and 6 other items using the other line. My setup is most likely complete overkill but who cares. It was easy.

    Good Luck!

I'll check on what else is on the circuit. I suppose I could hook it up and give it a test run and add the dedicated circuit if I have any noise or breaker issues.:p

    You should be fine.

For reference I have a Cinenova Grande 5.

I have had it hooked up on it's own 15 amp circuit with no issues

I have had it hooked up on it's own 20 amp circuit with no issues.

I have had it hooked up with all my other gear (Pre-amp, CDP, DVDP, PS2, XBOX, GameCube, 34in tube TV, EQ...etc) with no issues.

I checked my power draw a while back and the most I ever drew from the line playing a movie at reference levels was about 6A max with averages around 4.5A.

    I've ran...

5 amplifiers, a receiver, cdp, dvdp, tv, powered sub, xbox, vcr on one power strip.

    No problems.

I run all my current gear, minus the subwoofer amp all on one outlet as well. :)
