Hi,
I have another WTB posting on this forum where I'm looking for RTi speakers and now I'm also looking for a 3 channel amp (approx. 200 wpc @ 8 ohms), or 3 Outlaw 2200 monoblocks, to power them.
I've seen a posting here for someone looking to sell an Adcom 5503 and I think that or the Outlaws would fit the bill just fine. Haven't heard back from the seller so I'm not sure if it has been sold or not. I thought I'd post here to check other options. So let me know if you have any of those or something similar for sale. Also, I would welcome any other suggestions.
Thanks,
Mark

I talked to the guy in June about the 5503. He responded for a while then I saw him acting like he was going to sell it to others, and now he hasn't replies in 2 weeks.Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

Mark,
Don't mean to derail your thread, but please post your experience with that new SVS PCU-13 in the sub section. -

He must have gone back to his mother planet. Did you ever come up with anything else instead?McIntosh MA252 Integrated Amp, LUMIN D2 Network Music Player, Yamaha Aventage RX-A840 receiver, Emotiva XPA Gen3 2 channel amp, Polk LSiM 703 speakers. I've got the speakers now but am still looking for an amp. Missed winning a Monster 3250 on eBay this past weekend. There are a couple of possibilities on Audiogon right now but I would rather buy from a Polkie here if possible.
So...anybody thinking of selling their amp with approx. 200wpc at 8 ohms in order to upgrade to a kazillion wpc?McIntosh MA252 Integrated Amp, LUMIN D2 Network Music Player, Yamaha Aventage RX-A840 receiver, Emotiva XPA Gen3 2 channel amp, Polk LSiM 703 speakers. I can get 3 new Outlaw 2200 monoblocks for $921 with free shipping so I'm hoping to not spend anymore than that.McIntosh MA252 Integrated Amp, LUMIN D2 Network Music Player, Yamaha Aventage RX-A840 receiver, Emotiva XPA Gen3 2 channel amp, Polk LSiM 703 speakers. Just FYI, I love my 1430 B&K 3 channel amp, so keep an eye open for B&K stuff. I think they make a 200.3 amp that would be in your budget used, and I would think would be much better than the Outlaw monos.Stereo Rig: Hales Revelation 3, Musical Fidelity CD-Pre 24, Forte Model 3 amp, Lexicon RT-10 SACD, MMF-5 w/speedbox, Forte Model 2 Phono Pre, Cardas Crosslink, APC H15, URC MX-950, Lovan Stand

Not sure about this guy's price (seems a tad high) but this would be a very solid piece for you. The newer 200wpc B&K stuff (like the 200.3 / 200.2) has really high current, something like 75+ amperes. I think the one below has 60 amperes, which is still awesome.

Thanks, Andy, for the recommendations. It's interesting that you linked to that B&K 3220 on Audiogon. I saw that listing yesterday and have been in touch with the seller a couple of times via email. It is sort of at the top of my list of Audiogon possibilities, but I need to do a little research about that particular B&K model. I've heard good things about B&K.
My reason for considering the Outlaws was the fact that I could afford new ones and they would have a 5 year warranty. No worries about arriving DOA.McIntosh MA252 Integrated Amp, LUMIN D2 Network Music Player, Yamaha Aventage RX-A840 receiver, Emotiva XPA Gen3 2 channel amp, Polk LSiM 703 speakers. Buying used is always a little bit of a risk, but I have probably done about 50 deals off our Flea Market, Audiogon, CL, and ebay combined and only one left a bad taste in my mouth.
That seller is 26 for 26 positive feedback and Agon sellers are typically the most reliable. I wouldn't have any concerns about that particular item if I was interested in purchasing.Stereo Rig: Hales Revelation 3, Musical Fidelity CD-Pre 24, Forte Model 3 amp, Lexicon RT-10 SACD, MMF-5 w/speedbox, Forte Model 2 Phono Pre, Cardas Crosslink, APC H15, URC MX-950, Lovan Stand

Andy, here is a B&K listed on eBay that I have been watching. Any comments about this one? I don't absolutley have to have an amp drive the rear speakers but it might be nice to have the 5 channel just in case. What do you think?

That one looks awesome. I think it's pretty much the same model / series as the one on Agon but with 5 channels.
Looks like new and has all the paperwork / box. . . I would think anything around a grand would be a good deal on that one.
Great reviews everywhere I look. Not sure what it will end up going for when all is said and done, but put it on your watch list and make a bid if it's still near your budget.

That's a HT amp you could put in the system and not worry about for years. You could even upgrade your speakers a level or two and not need to upgrade the amp. Specs are very impressive, 75 amperes on that model. . . wow.Stereo Rig: Hales Revelation 3, Musical Fidelity CD-Pre 24, Forte Model 3 amp, Lexicon RT-10 SACD, MMF-5 w/speedbox, Forte Model 2 Phono Pre, Cardas Crosslink, APC H15, URC MX-950, Lovan Stand
