Speakers not fit ?

If you have a speaker problem like i did....You might be in luck....I have a 96 3000GT VR4. Well my 2 way cones went bad, which were infinity. Nobody makes 3 inch anymore. So what I did upgraded all of my 8 speaker surround with polk. But the problem I was faced with: I purchased the EX3500 series dome tweeters. Well, They are only 1 inch. and the place they were going was 3 inch. I finally found out how to place them in there with them not moving around. Look at the underside of a spray paint can lid. There is a nice little circle right there. I had to take a knife to it and cut off about 1 1/4 off the top so they could fit the depth. Next drill a hole thru the lil center hole. then take one of the mounting bracets and turn it upside down. Take a long screw and screw it thru the top of the lid so that the braket is taken the threads.....then put on your cover................
