I'm going to be adding a Cinenova Grande 7 channel amp ( I got it CFrizz ;) ) to my set up in the coming weeks and need to run some newbie questions by the folks that have power amps. The cinenova will be connected to a Pioneer Elite VSX72TXV which has preouts. I was thinking about going with the Blue Jeans cable connector http://www.bluejeanscable.com/store/6channel/index.htm and wanted to verify that this will do the job. Also on the newbie front, all I need to do is connect the preouts from the AVR to the RCA inputs on the Cinenova, hook up the speakers to the Cinenova and I should be golden right? Also the Blue Jeans cable is going to cost somewhere near $276.00 do you have any recommendations for other multichannel RCA's in this price range?

Yep, that's all you need to do.

Other brands in that price range would be cat cable, signal cable, and better cables. I'm sure others will have more suggestions.

Congrats and let us know what you think of that amp!

Good stuff! If you don't mind me asking, where did you find the best deal? Also, from not reading your previous threads, what r your speakers?
    Thanks

    Congrats Sab!

I just use these BJC 1505F in red & white pairs. Works great, didn't cost as much as what you are going to pay.

    Belden 1505F:
Belden 1505F is another excellent choice for analog audio; it is smaller in profile than LC-1 (.242 inch diameter versus .305), has double-braid shielding, and is higher in capacitance (17 pF/ft) but lower in price. View the technical specs for Belden 1505F.

GunnerG, certainly you shouldn't be getting any recommendations even remotely in a $276 price range to simply connect preouts to a separate amplifier. Apparently although your amplifier has seven channels you're going to be connecting just six, so two 3-cable sets such as these from MonoPrice would be a far more reasonably-priced connection. I and many others on this board and elsewhere who're aware that there's no correlation between price and sound quality for these items have used this source with satisfaction and have been able to use the money saved for something that'll make a difference.

However, I and many others on this board and elsewhere that do know the benefits of better cables, far out numbers idiots like you.

In this case Mox it's justified. JohnK's elevator doesn't go all the way to the top as far as audio is concerned.

He is more focused on measurements & numbers & couldn't care less how it sounds. If it isn't supported by the above then he says that it's useless!

Audio is confusing enough to newbies without JohnK leading them in the wrong direction.

So Jesse is just doing what's necessary to protect newbies from JohnK, & he is not the only one to do so!

Monoprice interconnects sounded like crap compared to my Goertz Alpha Core Silver Micro Purl Interconnects. Night and day difference. The only cables I'd use from monoprice are their optical or digital coax.
I'll be looking for a 5 channel set soon, I never realized SignalCable or Blue Jean's had matched sets like that, I'm glad I read this thread.

Well I went with the signal cable. If there's better cables out there I'll upgrade in the future but for now (Not to quote Mc D's) I'm lovin it :D
