I will give a detailed review later.
Fronts RTi8 (crossed at 60), Center CSi3, Rears RTi4, sub PSW 10
Room 15'x12'x8' (small)

Their specs. are close to the same on paper, excluding price. The key points are:
-HK is much better for Home theater. Surround comes alive. Sub hits harder.

-HK slightly better for music. Separates instruments better. Voices are cleaner. It took a long time to dial in the sub and even the low end out. High's slightly less harsh.

-HK gets much louder and remains cleaner. I was lacking volume with the Onkyo. The HK solved the problem with Pre's for the future.

-Onkyo is much more user frendly. I need to keep tweaking the HK but the Onkyo is hands down the easiest reciever to use. My wife is having problems with using the HK. But T.S. I am keeping the HK

I do not use it for video switching. Can not comment.

More later.
