Ok, I've pretty much decided to add an Outlaw amp as my first upgrade. I'll be using my Onkyo TX-NR900 as a pre/pro for the time being. I'm mainly trying to decide if I should go with the 7500 or 7700. My system is only running 5 channels right now and it will be awhile before I go to 7. I was also planning on using the amp to run all channels and just use the AVR as a pre/pro only. Doing that I can go with the 7500 and always add a couple of M2200's when I expand to 7 channels. The only thought that I had was that if I go with the 7700 I could passively bi-amp the my RTi12's. However, a lot of what I've read here seems to indicate that passively bi-amping really doesn't do a heck of a lot.

I was just hoping for a bit of input as the difference between the two amps is about $600. There is something attractive about having 400w going to the mains but I am not sure if that is just ego.
A lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part...
