    Are you serious? Please tell me you learned your lesson the last time you randomly purchased something on ebay?

    It looks to be a low powered sub with no rca inputs...meaning it probably wont work with any modern system. You would have to run the fronts to the sub and then back out to the front speakers, and the crossover is fixed at 100hz.

    You would have to make sure your receiver can send the LFE info with the fronts if you set the sub to no.

    i will probably use it for my small system in the bedroom. i am running a two-channel yamaha speaker & and older kenwood pro logic setup. I think that sub will work perfectly for that. I wonder if the Volkswoofer is the "peoples sub woofer"? LOL!

    Thats a good subwoofer if you like a piece of crap.

    Foam surrounds that rotted out, low powered, no excursion, no definition, no features, nada....

    But they are cheap.

    I'd use it for a garage rig, a bathroom rig, and... a patio rig... or maybe your Nephews rig.

    I don't see why you guys are saying it is cheap... You can pick up the smaller Polks for the same price and even though they aren't that great, I'd wager it would run circles around the first powered sub released.

    In a situation like this I assume worst case scenario, perhaps Mox isn't even buying/bidding on these items and he is just doing it all to get attention.

    The enclosure is worth something, if anything else.

    M&K did make some good subs back in the day and still do. But adapting this sub to a current HT system would be tricky. If used in a 2 channel rig with bookshelf speakers, it might not be TOO bad.

    a voice of reason. You are 100% correct. M&K does not build junk.
    I think the majority of these polk guys just hate M&K because you cannot purchase them at circuit city (unlike polk audio).
    I have corresponded with the seller and he has agreed to sell me a later model sub for a considerable amount more of course.

    But seriously, backing out on an auction isn't cool. It's good you were able to work out something with the seller but honestly, if that were me I'd report that in a heartbeat. It's not so much the fact that you backed out but your attitude towards it and how you think it's not a done deal until you give him the cash.

    i have never backed out of an auction or stiffed anyone(thus, the 100% rating) but i do appreciate all the moral police on here.
    if you make a purchase from a vendor on ebay, more than likely they will be willing to sell you something else if you are willing to pay a little more. they usually have lots of other stuff lying around they ship just as easily. They dont really care which one you buy as long as you pay.
    btw,
    you should NEVER deal in cash on ebay. only use paypal regardless of the fee.

    ok but I have only backed less than 10 auctions. I think Ebay gives you like 12 backouts before they warn you or something. It's state law man.

    Forgot to answer your other question. They are hooking me up with a 12/10 velodyne sub. I am waiting on him to get back with me on a quote for a 2-channel and a mono block as well.
