I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

If you're down with P, well then you're down with me.

Probably one of my top 5 favorite albums of all time. Not the best musicianship. But every effin' song is catchy, catchy, catchy. A lot of good memories associated with that album and it was pretty much the only one that every single one in my group of friends could agree upon throwing in the player at a given moment. Which was generally Friday or Saturday night.... trashed.I never had it like this where I grew up. Well, they're fantastic live.
He was involved in 2 of my top 10 favorite albums of all time, and 7 More Minutes is one that almost breaks onto that list.
Despite some their recent material, Weezer happen to be by far my favorite band of all time, and like your relationship with My Morning Jacket, mine has been much the same with them. All the experiences looking at a crowd from the perspective of a band like that at places like Lollapalooza is nothing I'll soon forget.

Awesome deal...
I agree 7 More Minutes is grossly underappreciated. Here's to the new album being a success. He certainly has an ear for a catchy ditty. Partner that preternatural sense with a Moog machine and results become exponentially catchier.
btw This will be my 1st time seeing 'em live.I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. He's a weirdo on stage. You might be surprised by that. I don't know how to explain it.
In any event, they people he has surrounded himself with are great, although I believe Ms. Haden left the band.
Which sucks for when they do IJTOTLOMD.

I've been to over twenty Man or Astro-man? shows...
The bar for "weird on stage" has been set pretty high:DI never had it like this where I grew up. Like the first time I saw Har-Mar Superstar...?

Okay... maybe not that wierd. Are you still seeking counseling after that show?I never had it like this where I grew up. Dream Theater!
I wanted to go see Tool but tickets were way too expensive.
I'm fulfilling the final show on my list of bands I had to see.
The final being Porcupine Tree, the other bands being:
Beloved, Killswitch Engage, As Tall As Lions, In Flames, and KISS.
I had tickets to go see Rush in San Diego this summer, but my trip to California was canceled. Luckily, I wasn't the one who dished out $435 for 8th row center orchestra seats.Trey (5:22:24 AM): my Taylos have copper phase plugs

Did you ever get a chance to hear Hopesfall?
No. When I got there I found out that Killswitch Engage wasn't going to be there, so I pretty much stayed in the amphitheater part, having no urge to see any other band but The Human Abstract, who came on in the amphitheater at a waaay later time. Like I said, The Human Abstract was the only good band I saw. I actually got up out of my seat and went into the pit for that one. I got a temporary neck injury when the lead singer jumped off the stage and onto my head (literally). It was awesome.Trey (5:22:24 AM): my Taylos have copper phase plugs

Tool is easily worth $150, if they would charge that much, which they don't.
It's an experience on the level of seeing Pink Floyd back in their hay day, which is something you might kick yourself over someday should you miss them. I have seen them many, many times, including in small venues 3 times, and have always had a fantastic time.
There's not much else I can say. You need to experience it for yourself. -

Oh, I plan on it. I just have to get a job first.
They came to Winston-Salem last time, which is where I will be living. I'm hoping they repeat next time around.Trey (5:22:24 AM): my Taylos have copper phase plugs

went to see joe walsh last night at the state fair. had a big I beam right in front of me:mad:    but no one had the seat next to it so i moved there once things started. had a great time. just a ? for those of you who have seen him...is he permanently damaged from all the drugs he used, or is it still a prablom with him? he looked like he was high and had no emotions until he started playing his biggest hits. the first few songs he just stood there and played. during rocky mountain way he forgot the words half way threw and started mumbling stuff. in the paper he said that he would play a few acoustic songs but that neaver happened. but overall it was a good concert.Polk monitor 10B's and 5 jr's
