what do you think about the mtx thunder elite amps. im thinking about trading in my 2 polk500.1 amps for a mtx te1501d amp to power my 2 sr's

I think that MTX puts out some very solid amplifiers. I ran some of their Thunder amps a few years back, nice amps and never had any issues with them. If you want more power, that would be a good choice.

I have a TE6001D and a TE1004, my TE1004 Broke very quickly but i am happy with the 6001D, it is clean, i know its just a sub, but i get a lot of compliments on it. Also it looks freaking amazing.

Have you ever thought about Alpine amps? I know from personal that Alpine makes some seriously clean amps.

MTX amps are one of the best kept secrets in car audio IMO.

Most people poo poo them because theyre sold in Circuit City. So what?! Theyre damn near indestructible and FAR exceed their rated power cleanly. MTX has been one of my alltime favorite brands of subs and amps for eons.

mtx amplifiers are wonderful. built better, and far easier to repair (on the rare occasion they need it) than anything else i've ever dealt with.

I like MTX's amplifiers. They're subs are loud, but I don't think they sound too good.

So in your oppinion should i trade my 2 polk500.1 amps for a mtx te1501d amp to power my sr's? I want to run all polk in my trunk but im afraid that my subs will be underpowered.

MTX, but the TE4001D is a better match up on the wattage.

the subs will be underpowered. I have that setup now. But they still sound good and get really loud. They're extremely clean subs. I was really impressed.

how would you run the 4001 its to much at 1ohm and i would rather save the money than run them at 4ohm

They are absoultely great for SQ.

All you want an amp to do is be built really solid, make plenty of clean power and have no noise. MTX does that in spades.

No blackmax i havent owned any mtx amps before but ive installed alot of them and they seem to be solid. also how do the momos handle byamping. and do any of you recomend it and how much power should i push to the tweeters and midbass drivers

Bi-amping is the best way to get the most tuning flexibility out of your system.

A good 50x4 amp would be a good way to go.
