Thanks for looking,
Ted

These are the pics from When HTrookie sold it to me, it is still in the same condition. Yes that is $350 Shipped. Yes it is the original. Yes this is Georges old amp.

    To be clear:
    Shipping is included? (Boston)
Is this the MkII or the original mid 80's version?
Is there a birthday on it?

No worries Ted, I may be trying out different amps over the winter, so this may be available again at some point soon. I'll make sure you are first in line before offering it in the FM if this occurs.< green with tube-envy

Mox, just so you are aware in your sig you have the 535 listed as 125wpc it's actually 60wpc. Just an FYI.

I believe he just bought these off e-bay and hasn't even received them yet. I hope he realizes that the 535 is 60wpc. Wouldn't be the first time someone on e-bay posted wrong info in a sale thread. The 545 is 100 wpc. Just trying to set the record straight and help the guy out if he is unaware and also to keep from spreading inaccurate info.

Anyone who reads his sig will see the inof and I'd hate for someone to go out and buy a 535 thinking it's 125 wpc when it's really 60 wpc.

You are the man H9. I don't ever doubt you on Adcom. I for some reason thought 545 was 125 wpc. So much for me thinking.

what do you think about that Adcom GFA-535 being dedicated to a center channel only?

I believe center should not be weak It should be giving the same consideration as the front speakers. I give my center 200 wpc and my fronts 200 wpc. I also believe in getting the center channel speaker you want and not skimping out on it.
My reasons are simple: the center channel is the main speaker playing the entire soundstage. Why skimp on the main speaker in your home theater?

    Good luck

It's not bridgeable so you would only be using 1 channel. You could certainly do worse and it is a little bit of a waste since it's such a nice stereo amp.

LOL...Reminds me of my buddie's center channel (I think it was some POS BestBuy KLH center speaker he pickled up for $49). Movies to "serious" music in his house is about 80-20. Cant see his center channel. And he always complains the vocals or action in a movie coming from the center, sounds terrible. He used to blame the recording, until he came to my house.

I'm going to say something that might upset some people....but oh well.

It pisses me off the way alot of sellers and buyers act. They take these transactions way too lightly. Putting stuff up for sale, when they know darn well they are too busy to complete the transaction in a timely manner. Or send a pm or email to a seller wanting a product, when they know they wont be around in a timely manner to pay for it.

When I put something up for sale, I stick around to complete it. I would never put something up for sale, in the middle of surgery or moving or fighting with the wife or sickness OR VACATION!!!. I do this, because I want my name to stay good. I want people to say "hey I bought from that guy and he is quick and easy, he responds to all my emails and is there for me to get in touch with". because I know how it feels to buy or win something you love or need. Maybe its just me, but I dont take selling products (of any price) with the attitude "ah well, I'll get around to it when I can". Thats pretty **** for the person on the other end.

Now I know things happen, the wrath of God can be pretty **** sometimes, but I find alot of sellers and buyers, know before hand that they are busy, but still dont care. They will have a break for 5 minutes, catch a wild hair, and throw something up for sale, knowing they wont be able to finish the sale, again, In A Timely Manner.

I have been , many times, on the other end of a deal, where the seller didnt return any emails for weeks, then I finally get an email and it states that the seller went on vacation or some crap like that. I mean , really, you put something up for sale then go on vacation????

What I'm saying is, lets , as buyers and sellers, take these transactions alittle more serious. Lets not take the buyer or seller for granted. I just hate getting my hopes up when I win a product or ebay or here, then have to wait weeks to hear from the seller and then it gets shipped (hopefully). It doesnt have to be that way if buyers and sellers, clear some sort of scheduel to watch over the transaction. Or dont put the darn thing up for sale if its going to take weeks (sometimes months) before getting with the buyer, to give him/her some information about whats going on.

    Thanks for letting me rant.

    And sorry for the highjack\\\

    Now back to buying...
