Just as a general rule - any brand that you can only buy at a flea market or out of the back of a white van, doesnt deserve to be in a comparison with Polk Audio.

Well I guess if the impact is big enough It could do better than the polk. But it would have to be big, like a fuel truck crashing in to a refinery and the whole thing blowing up all at once. That impact would probably be louder than the polk, and I don't think th polk would be as accurate, but thats just me.

I could pull and airhorn off a freight train. It would be a lot louder than anything Polk has. Doesnt mean Id want it in my trunk playing along to Dream Theater.

Some people wouldn't know good sound if it fell out of the sky and crushed them.

You'd be amazed at the manufacturers that sell to flea markets in certain areas around the country. I'm a rep for various home and car lines. It's not the best thing in the world but when a manufacturer wants to "dump" inventory, they find other gray market channels. It's an inevitable part of the electronics industry these days.

I love me some Dream Theater. I just gont done listening to 6 Degrees of Inner Turbulence a little while ago. On August 4th, I'm going to see them in Austin at "The Backyard" which is a nice 5000 seater outdoor venue. My best friends brother is (hopefully) getting us all access VIP passes. Tickets at worst. I'm stoked!

    ahaha. that was good.

You guys are too funny. And I don't know why people always associate "loud" speakers as being "good" speakers. Plus how loud do you seriously need a pair of speakers to be while just cruising around?

I haven't been into car audio for a long time. I've always been interested in it but didn't really do anything past installing a deck. its only until recently that I decided to take it a few more steps further. i really enjoy it. plus i learn a thing or two while doing it. and its quite satisfying when you get everything working. I would never pay someone to do it.
