new headunit time!

So im thinking of upgrading my headunit. I have pioneer premer dehp940mp. honestly im looking for the ultimate headunit, somthing wh audiophile sound, high preouts with a good display and great ipod controle is a must for me. Im also considering an indash with or without nav. preferably with. some options im considering are eclepse cd7100, eclepse 6610bt, pioneer dehp9800mp, pioneer avicd3, pioneer avhp5900dvd or pioavhp6900dvd when or if they come out with it. or alpine 9887 when it comes out.

heres the deal with navi and why i didnt get one, Honestly, how much are u going to use it? its nice to have a big display thats touch screen but u really arent going to be looking at it the whole time, and yes your friends will at first but when u are cruising they wont be.
i have the alpine 9885 and i like it a lot, the 9887 should be only 400 bucks and the ipod control is perfect.

As far as preouts, dont look at that too much u can get a amp for it for only 75 bucks and it boosts it to 5-9 if u get a half decent one, im sorry i dont remember the correct name for it, somone help me out.

The 9885 is 4v, im sure the 9887 will be that or more, which is plenty.

where can you get an amp for preouts? do they work worth a crap?

Aside from the great ipod control, the 940 is still one of the best SQ decks out there.

if yor looking for a HU that conects to a i pod, and dont have a cd-player.. 001 is the way..

otherwise, you have the Alpine 9855 or 9887 (isent that the number on the one thats taking over after the 9855?

then you have the pioneer 880rs. Isent bad that either. but i have never liked pioneer HU`s anyway so.. My next HU will be a Alpne that can control the 701.. and have optical out..
