I am so Confused.....
I have Yamaha HTR-6090
Samsung HLS-5687 DLP 1080p

Due to size an dplacement issues up in air about Csi5 or Csi3

Room is 21 x 12 which opens to a large open Kitchen.

Sub is a PSW505.

From what Iv'e read, I have heard two sides.
1. with a powerful sub like the psw505 there is no need to go with the Rti10's as they have two subs which go rather low as is.

2. The overall sound produced from the RTi10's is so much better than the
R50's or RTi8's that they are worth the investment.

I also have to deal with being able to get the R50's for 299 CDN as opposed to the Rti10's for 1350CDN or 850CDN for the 8's

I am leaning towards the 10's but am afraid the Sub will be useless.

ummm... go for the best of the bunch. that being either the RTi8's or 10's.

Is this for home theater movie watching as well as music or just movie watching? I highly doubt with a room that large that your PSW505 sub would go to waste. I think it would be just right matched with the RTi10's myself. and i'm not a bass head.... plus setting your 10's to small, will send the bass to the PSW505.. and really make it work like it was built to do. ;)

Let us know what you decide.... but my choice would be for your system.

    1 RTi10
    2 RTi8
    3 R50's

Why are the R50's so high in price??? Fry's normal has a sale on them. $69.99 US.

The Canadian dollar is on the rise and some are saying we might catch up to the USD again. The difference in currencies is not why the prices are so much higher either, its because we have a smaller population up here and they don't sell as high of volume and there is not as much competition so dealers can sell for higher prices and get away with it.

Good Call. I use the Rti10's plus a kick **** sub and it is a good combo. The Rti10's by themselves don't go low enough for me.
