Hello =)

A family member gave me a set of 5 speakers and a subwoofer from his dvd theater sytem he no longer uses cuz its not working.

I would like to know if i could plug those speakers and subwoofer to an amplifier? or something so i can hook them to my computer; if so, i would like to know what i need to buy.

The speakers brand is toshiba and the cables have are like a + and -, and at the end they have like a 2-square conector. (somewhat like to "drawing" below)

    If you can hook them up to an amplifier, than you can hook them up to your computer via an RCA to 1/8" cable from your computer to the amp. However, I would make sure that the amp is hooked up to a preamp or that the amplifier is integrated, or use a receiver. I tried just using an amp with my computer and using the volume controls in my computer and I was less than pleased. It's a pain in the butt.
